I was researching the possibility of using a flash header for an ocPortal gaming theme today, and came across Chris Graham's fixed-width design tutorial. I couldn't believe that after just a few simple steps I had the basis for a very interesting theme modification. Very often, new ocPortal webmasters feel overwhelmed by the richness of content available under this great CMS and probably believe that customizing the default website layout is beyond the reach of inexperienced first timers. It is in fact quite easy to transform the default fluid design theme with a fixed-width design and add a dramatic "Flash Header", background and style. In just a few simple steps, anyone can give a very different look to their website.
